Hi. I’m Arlen Peacock and I am the host of this website. The purpose of Victor’s Crown is to share knowledge, impart wisdom, and inspire righteous living. My heart’s desire and prayer to God is that the church will arise and reach its destiny to fill the earth with His glory.
Like Amos who said, “I was no prophet, Nor was I a son of a prophet”, I am no scholar, nor son of a scholar. After graduating high school in 1963, I considered going to college with the goal of earning a Doctorate in History…It never happened.
Instead, I joined the Air Force where I received training in electronics and computer technology. I met my future wife, Nora, while in the Air Force. We planned for me to go to college and seminary with the view of becoming a pastor. We married in April 1968, got pregnant in May, and had no financial resources to pay for college. I found a job as a computer field engineer and began a thirty year career. So here I am with no Doctorate, no Masters, no undergraduate degree, although my technical training probably equates to that.
My first ‘light bulb moment’ took place as I searched for the glory. I found this verse where John wrote, “And we beheld His glory…full of grace and truth.” (Jn 1:14) What was my major epiphany? I realized John’s statement referred to the Mount of Transfiguration where the three disciples saw Jesus with Moses and Elijah.
That’s it. That’s all I knew. I shared this with a Bible study group, and one of the guys said, “And you will discover much more.” In the thirty years following that moment, I indeed discovered much more. I hope to share things I learned as I journeyed on the quest for His glory!
